Walks with Bailey are often an adventure. Tonight while on our walk we encountered a young family of four— a toddler and her mom & dad and their 4-year/old golden who played well with my girl. We took each other’s pics b4 they had to leave to get back up to Utterson. #family #community #connection #kindness #winternight #muskoka #goldenretrieversofinstagram

In poetry or short fiction, it is entirely feasible to portray ordinary objects and experiences with precise yet unembellished language, imbuing items such as a chair, a curtain, a fork, a stone, or an earring with significant—sometimes unexpected—resonance. Similarly, a seemingly trivial line of dialogue can evoke a powerful emotional response in the reader, aligning with Nabokov’s perspective on artistic pleasure. This approach to writing is what I find most compelling. #Poetry #ShortFiction #LiteraryArt #EverydayObjects #SimpleLanguage #UnembellishedWriting #PowerfulResonance #LiteraryCraft #PoetryInMotion #FictionalTruths #EmotionalWriting #Nabokov #ArtisticPleasure #WritingWithDepth #OrdinaryToExtraordinary #ResonantStories #SubtleBeauty #PoetryOfLife #MinimalistWriting #QuietPower #EmotionalImpact #CreativeWriting #Storytelling #LiteraryExpression #PoeticProse #PreciseLanguage #ResonanceInDetails #ArtInSimplicity #ReflectiveWriting

Emerson's words remind us that we don't have to follow the usual route. Sometimes the best move is to step into new places where there is no guide. When you try something in your own way, you can open doors for others, too. A path made by your own steps leads to new ideas and chances. If you feel stuck or unsure, try looking beyond what's already there. You might find something better than you planned. Albert Einstein once said, “The true sign of intelligence is not knowledge but imagination.” Knowledge helps you solve problems, but imagination lets you see new answers and fresh ideas. When you picture something that does not exist yet, that is when real progress starts. Imagination opens the door to what could be, not just what is. Think about a time when you tried something new or saw things from a new angle. That spark of creativity often leads to the best results.
